Six Point Checkup Means Less Trouble During Blustery Winter
According to the 2010 Farmers’ Almanac, this winter will see more days of shivery conditions: a winter during which temperatures will average below normal for about three-quarters of the nation. The Car Care Council strongly recommends that all vehicle owners check six key systems before the temperatures start to drop.
Pain at the Pump Returning as Gas Prices Head for $4.
Consumers’ chronic pain at the pump is returning with gas prices heading toward $4 a gallon. To help alleviate the pain, the Car Care Council offers some simple and inexpensive vehicle maintenance tips. “You can’t control the price of gas, but you can control how much gas you burn by performing proper maintenance and how you drive. Performing simple and inexpensive maintenance can save more than $1,200 per year in gas costs,” said Rich White, executive director, Car Care Council.
